Christopher Hyden has waived his right to a jury allowing the case to be heard in Big Stone County.

The District Court Judge Michael Thompson, a former prosecutor in Meeker County will decide the case.

The trial involves a mother and daughter who allegedly had their throats cut by Hyden after he sexually assaulted the two.

The trial begins this Friday.
