I am posting three recipes that I made for Caleb Huebner's bake sale for this weekend in Big Stone City.

King Sized Gingersnap Cookies
Ingredients:
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 T. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
1 1/2 c. shortening

Directions:

Mix first 8 ingredients in small bowl, mix last 4 ingredients in
large bowl. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture and mix well.

Roll dough into balls, then roll in sugar. Flatten with the bottom of a measuring cup and sprinkle with a little more sugar. Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Remove from sheets immediately.

If you like a softer cookie, put a piece of bread when you store them, this will keep them soft!
