Bill Du Bois spoke to a group of about 50 last night at the Lantern Inn. We were happy with the crowd considering the state of the roads.
We also heard from former legislator Bob Weber and Mr. Schaefer (Schaefer vs Deuel County).
John Schmidt spoke about what is happening in MN.
It was a great night and we all learned a lot.

An update on the Monday night meeting. It was stormy enough that Bill had to stay at a motel in Clear Lake that night. The trip from Milbank to Clear Lake was about 25 mph.

His message about the future of rural life was in essence;

We should identify what we want.

The future is in our hands.

He also encouraged us to seek a return to our right to refer projects that have an impact on our areas, and to seek more authority for townships.

He spoke for about 90 minutes

The Grant County Concerned Citizens wish to thank Bill Du Bois for coming.

We will post info about our next meeting here.
