The cafe in Revillo burned down last night.

It was still smoldering this morning Wednesday at Feb. 4, 2009 at 6:00 a.m.

I didn't hear that anyone was hurt but the cafe was very close to the Post Office and it wasn't clear if the Post Office may have suffered any smoke damage. fireman

Here is a link to Keloland with the news story and their video from their news on the fire at Charlie's Bar and Cafe'. I have never eaten at there, but have heard from many people they had great food. It's hard when a small town has a business loss like this. Hopefully they will rebuild.

story said no insurance and no plans to rebuild. Why the heck would you not have insurance...

It is always sad to see a piece of history destroyed but it is like the song says....If tomorrow everything was gone, I'd worked for all my life......

I hope they rebuild soon and use that momentum to strengthen their community.

Like i said earlier, and the story on Keloland repeats it, they dont plan to rebuild...

We also learned that this Cafe made the Senior Citizen meals in town. Maybe someone in the community will decide they can make money if they put up a new cafe. It is leaving a big hole in this community.

How sad for the town.
