| The City Administrator with his two stooges conducted the witch hunt of Ortonville. The precedent set during this witch hunt of law enforcement will have a long term instability until the error is corrected. The Mayor made being not only an employee of Ortonville unstable, but has demoralized almost all city employees. The message he sent was if an officer arrests the wrong person he will have the mayor to account to. If Mr. Horman arrests his buddy will Mr. Horman have another meeting in front of the entire community? The whole purpose of the civil commission is to de-politicize the hiring and firing of employees. The fact that these three men paid no attention to the law is a gross injustice in which they owe an apology to the victims. This nation is a nation of laws not of men. These three men not only refused to follow the law they pretended to be above the law. Mr. Lang changes the law to fit his goal. The law changes all of the time to fit his agenda. Mayor Blair as you claim this site is personal against you, imagine what your personal attacks against Mr. Horman did to his family. The sleepless nights, the gossip and the notice of the special meeting. This was cruel and personal. You had a job to make sure the ordinances were followed and when you failed to fulfill this duty because of your personal agenda you breached your trust with the citizens that voted for you. Mr. Ash you also had a duty to independently give the law and follow any past precedences. The leash you have given Mr. Lang is undeserved. To blindly follow a man who can not even keep accurate notes is misplaced trust. Perhaps you should be the one in contact with the League instead of relying on Mr. Lang. For the last four years a small group of people have created havoc with our law enforcement. It is time to quit. This group continues to threaten those of us who disagree. Perhaps this is why they want no law enforcement. They desire to control and break laws, or at a minimum not follow the existing law. This small group of people prevent open minds with intellect to prevail. They have driven this community 10 years in the back woods instead of moving this community in a positive direction. On the other hand the three stooges have a golf course and balanced the budget by taxing the elderly and making children pay for their golfing by increasing the swimming fees.(' ') I have a solution. Meet only once before the next election. The more you meet the more damage to the community you create. Silence is bliss and may the three of you exercise your right to remain silent. | |

| How come the Police Comm. report back to city council is not on the agenda? I heard the Police Comm. met and sent a letter back .....so....wheres the report back???? What...did they find nothing wrong & the city administratortrying to sweep it under the carpet "cuz the city council is found to look petty and stupid? What are they trying to hide? Is this starting to look like a personal attack on the city cops or the city PD? Or can so the city council can publicly make a city officier look bad--(and from what I read in the paper--they were very petty things and were based on little fact or investigation) and then won't follow up and let the city know or clear his name publicly? What kind of people control the agenda? or are on the city council? Who controls the agenda and who feeds the info....whats the feeling out there? Also, has anyone else heard anything about the city attorney having an IRS tax lien againist him for not paying his taxes? | |

| Mouthpiece....I don't think so....I base my guess by the fact that the report from the Police Comm. is not on the agenda. They had not problem putting on there the allegations against Mr. Hormann....where's the report? Who's next? Are they done with him if this clears him? Which I assume it will based on what I read on the paper as they were pretty petty stuff and as Mr.Hormann stated...there was no violation of law, policy or procedure....could anyone else in the city government or city council have been treated as such? and gotten away with it? This is all just so sad. Why don't more citizens speak up or do anything? | |
