About:

Anyone who wants to add an event to the calendar is more than welcome, and in fact encouraged to add events to the calendar. Please note: Around 6 in the evening the date on the calendar will swich to the next day. I have tried to correct this problem but it still does that so I will continue to work on it.
How to use:

Open the forum where you would post about the event and click "New topic". Towards the bottom of your screen are three bars that say: "Options" "Calendar" and "Add a poll". To open any of these click on the tiny "+" sign at the right end of the bars. You of course want to open the calendar option. The time must be written in military time.

For those of us who need a little more description on how to use the calendar perhaps this will help.

1.) First go to the Forums page and choose the events section. Now you will have a screen that says "New Topic" and you may click on that.

2.) Under Subject put the title of your event. Make it descriptive enough so that people will be able to know what the topic will be about.

3.) In the Message Body section put in your information. Be sure to include the name of the city. where the event is taking place, and all pertinent information. Remember that it may seem to you that everyone knows where you are but this forum reaches to surrounding communities and other people considering coming to your event may not be familiar with were you are. Some churches in differing communities may have similar names and thereby may cause a confusion. You may notice that to the left of your Message body are some smilies. You may click on them or drag them to your message and make your message have a little more personality. I usually do that as I am posting because it is easier than trying to go back and put them in the message.

4.) Once you have place all the pertinent information in your post then hit the preview button below. You will now be able to see what your post will look like when you have sent it.

5.) If everything looks good to you then you need to add your event to the calendar. There is an options bar below the send button. On the far right there is a + sign. Click on that to open your options and see the calendar bar. Enter your date there. If you need to add the time you have to use military time. It is easier to just put the time in your post and not worry about it. There is also an option for a multiple date event. You can put in however many days your event has, for example 2 or 3. Then your post will be placed on all those days. Some events take place over the weekend.

6.) After you have entered your date then you are ready to hit the "Send" button. Your event will be placed on the calendar and anyone looking at it and clicking on your event will be taken to the post you have prepared.

7.) If at any time you need to make a change then simply go back to your post and click on the edit button. You can then make any corrections.
