Former Vietnam refugee is a US Navy Captain

A former Vietnam refugee has become an American Navy Captain. Watching the video from ABC's Person of the Week is inspiring. He was 5 years old when his family fled Vietnam and is an American citizen. His father is interviewed and he speaks of the fact that he didn't want to become a burden on the American society and so started looking for work the second day he was in America. He was a former South Vietnamese Navy Commander and found a job bagging groceries and worked hard and raised his family of eight children.

This story is inspiring in that you have a man who came to The United States and embraced it and became an American. I am inspired by Captain Hung Ba Le's attitude and am grateful to all who sacrifice and serve in our American Military.
