| Subject: Not all military language is the same. Sat Mar 13, 2010 9:30 am | |
| The following note was posted in a military supply store. There was no attributing author. Military Facts One reason the military services have trouble coordinating joint operations is that they don't speak the same language. For example: If you tell Navy personnel to secure a building they will trun off the lights, lock the doors and go home. The Army will occupy the building and guard the doors so that no one can enter. The Marines will assault the building, blow off the doors, capture the occupants, and defend in place with suppressive fire and close combat. The Air Force, on the other hand, will take out a three year lease with an option to buy. A similiar story is also on the internet. | |
