Butterscotch Brownies – Paula Deen

1 (11 oz.) pkg. butterscotch- flavored morsels
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Spray a 15 x 11 inch jelly-roll pan with nonstick cooking spray.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butterscotch morsels and butter. Microwave on High - in 30-second intervals. Stir between each interval until the morsels are melted and smooth. Let cool slightly.

In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir until smooth. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the sugar mixture. Stir until smooth. Stir in the butterscotch mixture. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the center of the brownies are set. Let cool for 30 minutes before cutting into bars to serve.
Makes about 3 dozen bars.

These are a great take and go bar....from the Queen of Butter (Paul Deen).
