SUBWAY!

Looks like there will be a NEW business in town -- we welcome the future SUBWAY, along with the hardware store and the nursery that have recently opened.

It is great having these new businesses in town.

The new Hardware Hank is a super place. Every time I go in they have what I am looking for and in the rare case that they don't have it they can get it for you in the twinkle of an eye.

Snortums has some beautiful and unique things in their store. They had a steel fire pit ring with moose and evergreen trees on it that I purchased as a gift. It looks great in the yard.

We are looking forward to Subway's arrival. Any clue when that will be?

I haven't heard a start date for the Subway. I noticed that they
are working on the outside, so if they have to put in the kitchen, it might be awhile yet. I also noticed a sign put up at the north end of that bldg that indicates a fitness center. I had heard about a second fitness center several months ago, but didn't know it was real.

I hope there is enough business for both this new fitness center and Curves.

Any updates on an opening date for Subway?

I do not know who took over the DQ, but I am very impressed. They are doing an excellent job! I them!

I just was informed that they are planning on opening December 1 and the fitness center before that date.

Last I heard is that they are both opening in December. It looks like they have some work yet to do on the inside at Subway. Not sure about the Fitness Center. I see they have added some more parking (tar) to the area. I haven't been around the backside, so I'm not sure if there is parking there or not. Hopefully they will be able to have ample parking for both businesses.

Lights on in the Fitness Center just in time for Christmas!

The Fitness Center appears to be open and we observed people working out.

Congratulations! A new addition to Ortonville.

The Ortonville Independent had a big ad for the fitness center. Some of the BCBS insurance carriers pay towards membership fees, so you may want to check with your agent if you are interested in joining and have BCBS.

Subway looks like it's coming along. Does anyone know if the Subway in Ortonville is owned by the one in Milbank? I was trying to figure out if they'll have a drive up--but it's hard to tell.

I called Subway in Milbank yesterday and the girl that answered the phone said that the Subway opening in Ortonville is not owned by the same people who own the Subway in Milbank.

So, it is still a mystery....

Thanks for checking. Maybe the Ortonville Independent could do some research on this???

The new owner is Craig Johnson. He also owns the Subway in Benson, MN.

I just got off the phone with his daughter, a very nice young woman, and most delightful to talk to.

They are hoping to open around the end of January or the beginning of February. They are still waiting for equipment.

Let's pull out the red carpet for when they arrive. Can someone find the keys to the city?

We are anxious to welcome you and your Subway restaurant here Mr. Johnson.

The new Subway is still a work in progress but they hope to open in late February or March. One can't nail down a definate time yet when you are working with getting equipment in and putting together all the necessary paperwork to bring the job to a climax.

In the meantime we can all keep salivating till the BIG DAY arrives. Did you know that they will also be serving BREAKFAST? I saw the sign for it on the window.

The new Subway in Ortonville is progressing. Mr. Craig Johnson is planning on opening the restaurant sometime in mid to later March. No official date has been set yet so watch for the open sign.

The inside looks gorgeous! Mr. Johnson also stated that they will have WiFi.

It keeps getting better and better. First they have breakfast and now they have WiFi. Be still my heart. :hart:

Tonight I drove by Subway and you needed a ticket to get in the door and the cars were baked up to West Con.

I would guess that the opening is right around the corner.

I was in there eating as you drove by, very good, top of the line for Subways I have eaten at. Opens tommorow, Wednesday March 18. go get some.
