PostSubject: What does David Lang consider proper notification?   Notice of Special Closed Meeting Icon_minitimeMon Jan 25, 2010 7:05 am

I was cleaning my desk off and came across some documents from the City packet. It was an email from Vicki Oakes to City Attorney Craig Ash with copies to David Lang and Scott Simonitch from August 17, 2009.

The email was about Mr. Frauenshuh Attny wanting to be notified when his client's case was being brought before the board and that he had not been notified about the hearing that day. Vicki went on in her email to state that:

Also to note, David Lang did send agenda notification for the Council meeting which includes the Variance Recommendation to Frauenshuh on Friday.

The notification that David Lang sent was the agenda for the City Council meeting to The Forums. You can see by the link. (Click here for Agenda.) That indeed the agenda shows the variance denial but it was Lady Hawk who posted it.

To send a notice of the agenda to a separate business is not sending a notice to the Attorney. It was handled by someone else. For David Lang and Vicki Oakes to state that notice was given to the attorney is not correct. Was it an intentional slight to further discourage and intimidate Ms. Anderson to keep her attorney from being present? Why didn't David Lang send the notice directly to her attorney? He had the email address. Why did Vicki Oakes try to justify David Lang's actions by stating that the attorney was notified? Is this how David Lang conducts business for the city?

Another thing of note. In her email Vicki Oakes always referred to Mr. Frauenshuh as just "Frauenshuh." She never referred to him by his first and last name even though in her letter everyone else was given their full name. In an official city correspondence isn't everyone due respect? Why does she only refer to him by his last name but uses the full name of David Lang when talking about him?
