Ortonville Teeners Win in Region and Move to Semi-Round

The Big Stone City-Ortonville 15-16 year old teener team defeated Sisseton 11-7 after Sisseton staged a late game rally.

The Big Stone City-Ortonville team sent Riley Blake to the mound and he allowed no earned runs.

The team behind the sound defense of Josh Teske, Tony Schake and Cole Peters were able to develop a lead with the aggressive hitting of Nate Nelson, Quincy Swenson and Ben Valek.

The pitching (Ryan Hanson and James Nitz) were able to hold on to the lead.

The team faces tonight at 7:00 p.m. an older team from Canby-Gary. Big Stone City-Ortonville has a team of 14-15 year olds and is the youngest team in the tournament.
