2010 City Of Ortonville Deer Hunt



Portions of the City of Ortonville will be open to archery deer hunting by special permit. This deer control program is an effort to reduce the city deer population and the damage to property the deer cause. A total of 30 bonus deer permits will be available for the hunt (Sept. 18, 2010 to Dec 31, 2010). A proficiency test and a $7.50 administrative fee will be required to qualify. Archers must also possess a valid Minnesota archery deer hunting license or all season deer hunting license to participate. Qualifying applicants will be allowed to purchase one (or more) bonus deer permits for this hunt. Archery hunters wishing to participate must be at least 18 years of age by the opening day of the hunt.

Applications for the hunt and copies of its regulations will be available at the City Clerk’s office. Applications must be submitted to that office with a $7.50 administrative fee by the close of business hours on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Applications can be mailed to:
