Milbank Earns Superiors at State IE Tournament

The Milbank High School Interp team was awarded the top award that the SDHSAA offers at the annual State Interp contest held in Aberdeen on December 3-4th. Squads who receive two or more superiors receive the Team of Excellence Award. Both of Milbank's entries who qualified for the Class A competition received superiors. Brenna Rausch was a superior winner in Serious Plays while the Readers' Theatre team composed of Brent Seehafer, Jesse Nelson, Timothy Whelan, John Ward, Mitchell Wagner, and Sam Grorud also received a superior.

"It was a good day for these seven young people. Participating at the state festival puts a lot of pressure on a single performance heard by three judges and a larger crowd than average. I would have been proud of their performance whether they had superiors or not. The superior was just sprinkles on top of the frosting!"
