Memorial design ideas to be unveiled

MILBANK — A meeting will be held next Wednesday to unveil design ideas for a Grant County veterans memorial. The meeting will be held beginning at 6 p.m. in the Milbank High School Theater.

S.D. State University professor Martin Maca will show designs submitted by students in his public space design class. The students have been working on designs that would fit the specific space at the west edge of the Milbank Cemetery where the memorial will be located. The Grant County Veterans Commission is looking for public input as it begins to make a final selection for the memorial.
