By Jeffrey Miller. Excellent book and i have a copy of the dvd, is anyone interested in watching it at the Mill Theatre on the big screen some afternoon?
It is in 3 parts
1)Hidden Dangers in Kids Meals:Genetically Enginered Foods (28.5 minutes).

2)Health Dangers of Genetically Engineered Foods and Their Cover Up (60 minutes, probobly only for the zealous, it's good though).
3)The Wisconsin School Phenonenon: The Impact of Fresh, Healthy Foods on Learning and Behavior (15 minutes) A lot of this is covered in part one w/some amplification. ALL parents, cafeteria workers and teachers should see this, IMO.

Personally, I'd love to see this DVD.

Do you think there would be a fair amount of interest around town? If so, the Granary might be interested in advertising for the showing. Meg S. has expressed interest in doing a 'tea-testing' with an electric kettle (this was a suggestion I received from the survey I conducted on a previous post).

What do you think of making this a community event? The Granary could supply tea or goodies and I could help create and put up some posters. Discussion could follow the film, etc.

This is just a thought, as I have been reading the forums and brainstorming ways the Granary can get more involved in the community and their interest in promoting local foods.

I would love to get the local school principals/boardmembers together for a viewing of sorts. Our school lunches need a major overhaul. Maybe if enough of us parents voiced their concern...
