Upcoming SD Bills have variety of issues.....

I took the time to look through the list of bills for the 2010 SD Legislative session. See the link on the "sticky post."

Some of the bills I found interesting are:

HB1001, 1002, 1003 Deal with allowing the sale of alcohol on Sundays.
HB1057 Is about the sale of raw milk.
HB1133, & ? Is about using wireless communications while driving.
HB1168 Would repeal the law and require children to attend school until age 16 instead of 18.

HCR1103 Supporting the reintroduction of horse slaughter.

SB74 Repeal the prohibition against stem cell treatments
SB93 Exempt certain small wind enerty facilities from property taxation.
SB107 Provide for the practice and regulation of licensed midwives.
SB117 Designate the kolache as the official state pastry.
SB137 Nullify certain federal health care laws within the State of SD
SB159 Allow a nonpublic school that is not accredited by the state to be a member of the SD HS Activities Association.

SCR1 Opposing the government takeover of health care as currently proposed by Congress and encouraging preservation of states' rights regarding health care regulation.

The actions of the SD Legislature does affect all of us. I would encourage everyone to check out the current list and support or oppose bills of interest to you. Everyone is welcome to post on this site and let your civil voices be heard.
