This is the kind of day that reminds me to count my blessings. Last year the corn was barely dented when it started to rain, and rain and rain. Which interfered greatly with silage time, this year it is coming along very well.
It is a good time to gather some rose hips for jelly, and picked up some fall raspberries for freezing and preserves. A second batch of green beans were an unexpected gift from the garden. Delivered a little produce to friends, hung some laundry, savored the outdoor time, it is so lovely right now.
Farmers Market products are super right now. Things like melons and most greens need to be enjoyed right now, they don't keep well.
Still can enjoy some home evenings with the man of the house before the major harvesting starts.
Life is good.
