Milbank Novice Do Well in Watertown

Eight Milbank High School novice debaters traveled to Watertown on November 16th to compete in a three round tournament with Aberdeen Central, Watertown, and Brookings.
Finishing with a 2-1 record on the Affirmative were Dezmond Ward and Allwin McDonald. The other MHS affirmative team was Audrey Souza and Emily Pillatzki who finished 1-2. Morgan Jones and Tori Remington were on the negative and won 2 and lost 1. Sierra Baumgart and Jacob Erickson also were negative and finished 2-1.
Upcoming contests for the MHS debaters include: December 7th--Lisa Sippel debate in Groton; December 10th--Justin Maass debate and the Upper Dakota Forensic League (conference meet) at Milbank which starts on the 10th with debate and has individual events on Saturday the 11th. On December 14th is a novice individual events contest in Watertown and the final contest for 2010 is the Bell Debate and IE contest in Brookings on December 17th and 18th.
