Once completed, the Petition will be sent to President Obama and Governor Pawlenty. Our booth will be set up in the front of Kleinbank, located here in beautiful Madison, Minnesota.
Attention veterans. There's a new way for you to order batteries for your VA provided hearing aids.
Veterans can now order batteries online using the Remote Order Entry System-Public (ROES-Public) application. In order to ensure your personnel information is kept secure, you will need to obtain access credentials prior to placing your first order. The instruction for obtaining credentials can be found at
www.gov/eauth. If you have access to VA's My HealtheVet application, you may already have established your credentials. Look for the ROES-Public application at
www.va.gov/eauth/roes and follow the steps to place your order for your hearing aid batteries. Their customer service email is
dalc.css@va.gov and their phone number is 303-914-5145.
In other news. The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is pleased to announce the first Minnesota Veteran and Military Women’s Summit Oct. 16-17, at the Ramada Inn Mall of America in Bloomington.
Women in the military and spouses are a strong group of individuals who are often difficult to reach. This forum will allow MDVA to pave the way for shared resources in order to strengthen our community.
This event will bring together women veterans, women currently serving, female spouses, care providers and members of the community in a comfortable setting to provide resources, support and networking opportunities.
For more information and to register visit

Until next week, take care and "Fair winds and following seas!"
