The Dike Road Bridge Empty
PostSubject: The Dike Road Bridge   The Dike Road Bridge Icon_minitimeSat May 31, 2008 2:51 pm

Does anyone know when the dike road will be opened up again? I had heard it would be in mid-May, but obviously that is not the case since it is now a day away from being June.

Perhaps we should start a pool. Everyone can put in a dollar and draw dates as to when it will be opened.

Hmmmm......maybe not. scratch

How come in Minneapolis the bridge crew is going to finish ahead of schedule and out here nobody cares? Why did the bridge take so long to complete?

A very good question, and although the bridge is open to traffic it's still not completed. There is still some painting and landscaping that needs to be done to it.

With the bridge now opened, this should really change the flow of traffic at the Holiday intersection. I'm glad to see it's finished before CornFest!

I'm still getting used to using the dike road again. Every once in awhile I'll catch myself taking the long way between Ortonville and Big Stone. Embarassed It's nice to have it open again. It looks good. And I love the new railing between the road and the sidewalk.
